A Rawalpindi court has thrown out all police cases against students involved in protests over the private college issue.
The court's decision comes after the government initiated legal action against the students, who were accused of vandalism during demonstrations.
With the cases dismissed, the court emphasized the need for peaceful protest and the protection of student rights.

Earlier, Punjab Police on Thursday arrested hundreds of students and miscreants from various cities of Punjab, who allegedly vandalized the private college campuses across the province including the metropolis Lahore, protesting against the unconfirmed and alleged rape case of the female students on campus.
Lahore was the center of protests after an alleged rape of a private college student sparked outrage wherein students and 'miscreants' vandalized properties, set fire to motorcycles, and clashed with the police.
Lahore Police arrested a case registered at Harbanspura police station by sub-inspector Usman Akbar, citing that 200 to 250 unknown individuals were involved.
According to the FIR, protesters attacked the police with petrol bombs, resulting in the burning of six motorcycles and significant damage to the college. Police have arrested 24 individuals involved in the vandalism.
