This comes as a contrast to the teetotaling habits of her predecessors, Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
During the show, Harris cracked open a can of Miller High Life, declaring, “Cheers,” as she reminisced about enjoying a brew with her husband, Doug Emhoff, at a baseball game. Colbert playfully suggested that elections are won on "vibes," and the ability to have a beer with a candidate can resonate with voters.
The segment was part of a broader media blitz for Harris, who has also appeared on "The View" and participated in an interview with Howard Stern. In a friendly environment, Colbert’s humor allowed Harris to showcase her personality while taking jabs at Trump’s election loss, asserting, “When you lost millions of jobs… what does that make you? A loser.”
