Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) is being celebrated with profound religious zeal and fervor across the country on Friday (today), commemorating the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The day commenced with a magnificent display of honor and respect, marked by a thirty-one-gun salute in the federal capital and a twenty-one-gun salute in all provincial capitals.
Special prayers for the unity of Muslim Ummah and progress and prosperity was also offered in the mosques after Fajr prayers.
Throughout the day, special conferences, events, and Mehfil-e-Milad gatherings were organized in various parts of the country.
In the spirit of the occasion, cities and towns were transformed into a dazzling spectacle, adorned with colorful lights and decorations. Buildings, streets, roads, mosques, and houses glowed with vibrant hues.
Cities across Pakistan abuzz with devotion
Karachi:
Eid Milad-ul-Nabi is being celebrated in Karachi with a fervent display of religious devotion. The city is witnessing strict security arrangements along the procession routes to ensure the safety of participants and maintain law and order.
Side roads have been blocked with containers to prevent any untoward incidents, and mobile phone services have been partially suspended in various areas to avoid any potential security threats. To bolster security, more than 5,000 police personnel and officers have been appointed.
The main procession is set to commence from Memon Masjid Tower at 3 o'clock, and it will follow designated routes before culminating in a grand display.
Lahore:
The 40th International Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ conference was held at the Minar-e-Pakistan ground. The conference witnessed an overwhelming participation of both men and women, with hundreds of thousands of attendees from Lahore and neighboring regions converging to express their profound reverence and deep affection for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).
The event featured an online address by Minhaj-ul-Quran chief, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, who delivered a powerful message.
On the grand stage, scholars and thinkers representing various schools of thought gathered to discuss and highlight the life and teachings of the Prophet.
To ensure the safety and security of all attendees, tight security arrangements were implemented around Minar Pakistan.
Quetta:
In Quetta, the celebration of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi is marked by unwavering devotion and respect. The main procession is scheduled to start from Mian Ismail Mosque, and stringent security measures have been put in place along the procession route.
To ensure the safety of the participants, both the police and Frontier Corps (FC) have deployed over 2,000 personnel along the procession routes.
Additionally, smaller processions leaving the city will also join the main procession, adding to the grandeur of the occasion.
Rawalpindi:
Preparations for the main procession of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi have been meticulously completed in Rawalpindi.
The procession is expected to commence shortly in front of the main Markazi Jamia Masjid and arrangements have been made to facilitate a smooth and secure event.
Multan:
In Multan, the celebration of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi took a unique turn with a grand rally of one hundred camels from Mohalla Dawood Jahanian.
Each camel was beautifully decorated, attracting a large number of Rasool (Prophet) lovers who enthusiastically participated in the event.
The camel rally will return through designated routes.
This day is not only a celebration of the birth of the last messenger of Allah Almighty but also an opportunity for Muslims to reflect upon the teachings and life of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
