Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Thursday warned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur against "attacking" Islamabad.
Addressing the press conference in Islamabad, Chaudhry said: "The KP CM is talking about attacking Islamabad. Other times, he [Gandapur] says protest is our constitutional right. The citizens of Islamabad also have their constitutional rights."
Chaudhry said, "The permission to snatch the constitutional rights of the citizens cannot be given. If Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announces, you [Gandapur] cannot even enter Islamabad."
"The KP government has to pay Rs 335 billion to the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO). Gandapur should take steps to halt the power theft in the province," he said.
Chaudhry said, "I would like to invite you [Gandapur] to possess the PESCO and provide supply to the masses."
– CM Gandapur's 'attitude reflects PTI's culture': Sardar Saleem –
Few days back, Punjab governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that Gandapur's "attitude reflects the culture of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)."
Speaking to media in Lahore, Khan said: "Joining hands with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is a need of the hour for the sake of the country."
He expressed his gratitude to the PPP leadership for being nominated as the Punjab governor. "Not only, the PPP worker, but the person will get respect at the Governor House," he said.
"It would have been better for the PTI founder to sit in the opposition with acceptance, considering that it did not bag a majority."
