The Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Shahid Kareem annulled the victory notification of PML-N leader Azhar Qayyum from NA 81 Gujranwala and reinstated the candidate of Sunni Ittehad Council Bilal Ejaz Chaudhry as MNA.
The judge heard the plea of Bilal Ejaz Chaudhry of the Sunni Unity Council (SIC).
Bilal Ejaz Chaudhry was declared successful with nearly 8,000 votes
The Election Commission of Pakistan declared the re-counting of the votes to the opposition candidate Azhar Qayoum as successful. The returning officer reduced the petitioner's votes by 2500 votes on recounting the votes.
