The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Media Director Aalia Rasheed has resigned from her post in an announcement made on X, formerly Twitter.
Aliya Rasheed was appointed during the tenure of PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf. Sources claimed there was a lot of pressure on Alia Rashid after she released the statement about captaincy without asking Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Sami Ul Hasan Sami Burney appointed PCB media director
Sami Ul Hasan Sami Burney has been appointed once again as PCB media director. He has served as ICC media Head of Department in the past as well.
Pakistan Cricket Team confirmed that following a unanimous recommendation from the PCB’s selection committee, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi has appointed Babar Azam as white-ball (ODI and T20I) captain of the Pakistan men's cricket team.
Babar Azam has replaced Shaheen Shah Afridi as T20 captain. 'King Babar' also became ODI skipper after a hiatus of five months. Babar Azam was removed as ODI captain after the defeat of World Cup 2023.
