PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has claimed that the letter that the party intended to write to the IMF will be in national interest and that they will not do anything against the country.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, the senior lawyer underscored the importance of transparency and openness in legal proceedings, saying that they apprised the court of the importance of an open trial and also told it that the media was not allowed inside.

Highlighting recent developments, Barrister Gohar criticized the caretaker government for its alleged failure to ensure fair and transparent elections. He specifically pointed out the election commission's shortcomings in releasing results under Form 47, raising concerns about the authenticity of the electoral process.

Moreover, Barrister Gohar brought attention to the demands for protection for the former commissioner of Rawalpindi and his family, citing potential threats to their safety. He asserted that former commissioner Liaquat Ali Chattha's claims from Thursday had brought the truth before the public.

He further claimed that the Form 47 issued were fake, adding, however, that the party's lawmakers would become part of parliament and not flee from the field.

About the supposed letter the PTI intended to write to the IMF, Gohar said it would be written on Friday evening, adding that the letter would be in national interest. "The PTI will not take any measures that will be detrimental to the state or its people," he insisted. He further said that the PTI wanted rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution in the country.

"There will be no harm to the state, democracy and law," Gohar maintained, recalling that it was the PTI government that introduced the Sehat Card and panahgahs (shelter homes).

In a final remark, Barrister Gauhar reiterated PTI's dedication to fighting for democracy, citing the incarceration of PTI's founder as evidence of their commitment to democratic principles.
