The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has unveiled revised sales tax regulations impacting retailers nationwide.
The latest measures expand the sales tax ambit, now encompassing all registered individuals rather than solely tier one retailers.
As per the official notification, retailers are obligated to procure a sales tax payment license. Crucially, compliance necessitates providing FBR with the requisite information to secure the license.
To oversee this licensing process, FBR plans to institute a dedicated committee empowered to evaluate the furnished data and determine the issuance or revocation of licenses.
