During a press conference, Usman Tariq shared how Dhoni’s career influenced him. “I did not lose heart after seeing Dhoni,” he said. “Look at Dhoni’s difficulties; that was a turning point for me. It showed me that perseverance and learning from mistakes are key to success.”
The spinner, who returned to professional cricket after a hiatus, emphasized the importance of resilience. “It is difficult when you don’t work on your mistakes. Watching Dhoni handle tough moments inspired me to focus and improve,” he added.
Back in game
Usman Tariq also spoke about his journey back into cricket. “I am back in cricket. I used to do jobs before, but I never lost hope. My focus is on playing and winning, and I enjoy these moments fully.”
He stressed that his preparation is thorough and that he is working to remove any weaknesses in his bowling. “We will now remove the weak points in the bowlers’ bowling. Shaheen and Babar are very good players for Pakistan; they know how to give good performances even after a bad match,” Tariq said.
