Popular YouTuber Rajab Butt was injured after being attacked by a group of lawyers inside the Karachi City Court premises on Monday, sparking outrage and raising serious concerns about security within court buildings.
According to initial reports, Rajab Butt had appeared before the court to seek interim bail in a case registered against him. As he entered the court premises, a group of lawyers allegedly confronted him, which quickly escalated into severe violence.
Eyewitnesses said Rajab Butt was physically assaulted, during which he sustained injuries to his jaw and mouth, causing visible bleeding. Court officials and police personnel rushed to the scene and managed to disperse the attackers after a tense situation developed inside the court.
Meanwhile, the court extended Butt's interim bail till January 13.
