The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has dominated most constituencies in the by-elections for six National Assembly and seven Punjab Assembly seats, according to unofficial and non-final results.
According to details, the PML-N candidates lead in all six National Assembly constituencies, while six of seven Punjab Assembly seats are also favouring the party. One seat is currently led by a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate, with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-backed candidates were trailing.
Polling took place in Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha, Mianwali, Muzaffargarh, and Haripur from 8 am to 5 pm.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the successful PML-N candidates, attributing the victories to the vision of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, exemplary leadership, and the hard work of the party workers. He also acknowledged the tireless efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, saying the success reflected public confidence. He expressed hope that the victorious candidates would represent their constituencies effectively and serve the public diligently.
National Assembly Results
NA-129 Lahore
The by-election was held following the death of former federal minister Hammad Azhar’s father, Mian Muhammad Azhar. PML-N candidate Hafiz Noman won with 63,441 votes, while the PTI-backed independent candidate secured 29,099 votes. Voter turnout stood at 18.26 per cent.
NA-143 Sahiwal
PML-N’s Chaudhry Muhammad Tufail Jutt emerged victorious with 136,313 votes, surpassing independent candidate Zarrar Akbar, who received 13,120 votes. The seat became vacant after PTI-supported candidate Rai Hassan Nawaz was disqualified by the Anti-Terrorism Court.
NA-185 Dera Ghazi Khan
Sardar Mahmood Qadir Laghari of PML-N won with 82,413 votes, followed by PPP candidate Sardar Dost Muhammad Khosa with 49,262 votes. Eight candidates contested the seat, which became vacant following the disqualification of PTI’s Zartaj Gul under the 9 May case.
NA-96 Faisalabad
In the constituency vacated by PTI’s Rai Haider Ali Kharl, PML-N’s Bilal Badar Chaudhry led the 40 polling stations with independent candidate Malik Nawab Sher Waseer in second place. 16 candidates contested the seat.
NA-104 Faisalabad
The seat, vacated due to the conviction of Sunni Ittehad Council chairman Hamid Raza in the 9 May case, saw PML-N’s Raja Daniyal in the lead, followed by independent Rana Adnan. Four independent candidates also contested.
NA-18 Haripur
PML-N’s Babar Nawaz Khan led with 109,968 votes, while independent candidate Shehrnaz Omar Ayub received 86,558 votes. Nine candidates contested this seat, vacated following PTI’s Omar Ayub’s disqualification under the May 9 case.

PML-N leads in six of the seven contested Punjab Assembly seats, with PPP ahead in one constituency.
PP-73 Sargodha: PML-N’s Mian Sultan Ali Ranjha ahead; independent Mohammad Haris Ranjha second.
PP-87 Mianwali: PML-N’s Ali Haider Noor Khan Niazi leading; independent Mohammad Ayaz Khan Niazi trailing.
PP-98 Faisalabad: PML-N’s Azad Ali Tabassum ahead; independent Mohammad Ajmal second.
PP-115 Faisalabad: PML-N’s Mian Tahir Jameel ahead; independent Mohammad Asghar second.
PP-116 Faisalabad: PML-N’s Rana Sheheryar leading; independent Asghar Ali Qaiser second.
PP-203 Chichawatni: PML-N’s Choudhry Muhammad Hanif Jutt won with 46,820 votes, surpassing independent Falak Sher Dogar, who received 10,975 votes.
