Iran has offered assistance to help end tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar during a telephone conversation, according to Iranian media reports.
Araghchi said Tehran is ready to provide all possible cooperation to ease tensions between the two neighbouring countries.
He emphasised the need for further dialogue between Pakistan and Afghanistan to achieve lasting peace in the region.
Both leaders agreed to continue cooperation for regional stability and sustainable peace, the Iranian foreign minister stated.
According to Iranian media, the two sides held detailed discussions on bilateral relations, regional developments and international matters.
Araghchi expressed concern over the Pakistan–Afghanistan situation, Iranian media added.
