The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) of Pakistan has begun taking action against individuals allegedly running anti-state hate campaigns, filing cases against five suspects.
Those named in the cases include Adeel Raja, Moeed Pirzada, Muhammad Umar, Nazir Butt, and Ahmed Noorani. The suspects are accused of spreading misleading propaganda against state institutions on social media platforms.
According to the FIR, the accused allegedly shared false and inflammatory content during Pakistan-India tensions and continued to promote such material. The NCCIA has stated that they will deal strictly with those who spread chaos or target state institutions.
The agency has requested public assistance in identifying individuals involved in anti-state activities online. Citizens can share details including posts, screenshots, names, and other information via WhatsApp to help authorities identify such elements.
