The Balochistan Assembly is set to witness the much-anticipated election for the positions of Speaker and Deputy Speaker today.
The Assembly Secretariat has announced that nominations for both positions can be submitted until noon today.
While the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has nominated Ghazala Gola for the Deputy Speaker post, the Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is yet to announce their candidate for Speaker. This development comes amidst an agreement between the two parties, where the Speaker position would be allocated to the PML-N and the Deputy Speaker position to the PPP.
The Assembly session, scheduled for 3 pm today, will witness the official nomination process and potential voting procedures, if necessary.
