Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha has expressed satisfaction over all-round performance against Namibia national cricket team as the Green Shirts secured their place in the Super 8 stage of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
Speaking after the match against the Eagles, the Pakistan captain acknowledged the contribution of opener Sahibzada Farhan, who registered his maiden T20I century and became the second Pakistani batter to score a hundred in the history of the Men’s T20 World Cup.
“Sahibzada Farhan has been performing well for Pakistan over the past six months,” Agha said.
He also praised mystery off-spinner Usman Tariq, who claimed four wickets, and said it was difficult for the opposition to face him.
Referring to the challenge awaiting Pakistan in the Super 8 stage, Agha added, “It will be a game of cricket against Pakistan.”
He stressed the importance of including spinners in the playing XI in Sri Lankan conditions, stating that the side must make proper use of spin resources.
Pakistan are scheduled to face New Zealand national cricket team in their opening Super 8 fixture on February 21.
