Abdul Subhan claimed four wickets and Sameer Minhas struck an unbeaten 59 as Pakistan Under-19s secured an eight-wicket win over Bangladesh Under-19s to clinch the final place of the Under-19s Asia Cup at the 7he Sevens Stadium in Dubai on Friday.
Bangladesh, in a match cut to 27 overs due to rain, folded for one hundred and 21 in 26.3 overs. Subhan led the attack with figures of 4-20, while Ali Raza and Mohammad Sayyam took one wicket each to restrict the total.
Samiun Basir offered the main resistance with 33, but regular losses left Bangladesh unable to build momentum. No other batter passed 20 as wickets fell at steady intervals.
Pakistan replied with control and clarity. After the early loss of Hamza Zahoor, Minhas anchored the chase with authority, striking six fours and two sixes in a composed display. Usman Khan added 27 before his dismissal, after which Ahmed Hussain supported Minhas to the target.
Pakistan reached 100 and 22 for two in 16.3 overs, with more than 10 overs to spare. Subhan received the player of the match award for his decisive spell, as Pakistan Under-19s advanced to the final of the tournament.
