Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said on Friday that the Afghan Taliban are assisting the anti-Pakistan groups.
During a news briefing in Islamabad, the FO spokesperson said:
The MoFA said on Friday that terrorist attacks from Afghan soil against Pakistan had increased since the Taliban takeover, and reaffirmed that Pakistan would hold no talks with any terrorist group.
The ministry’s spokesperson said the Taliban regime sought to present acts of terrorism as a humanitarian issue. He said that Pakistan would not enter negotiations with any terrorist organisation, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and the Balochistan Liberation Army.
Andrabi said there should be no sympathy for those who supported terrorists and added that Pakistan had shown every possible restraint. He termed statements from the Afghan regime as empty claims.
He maintained that India attempted to misrepresent United States President Donald Trump's remarks about Pakistan.
