Flight operations at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport were suspended once again on Friday as authorities cited undisclosed reasons for the repeated closures over the past 48 hours.
According to sources within the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the airport has been closed until further notice, leaving dozens of scheduled domestic and international flights in limbo.
This marks the third suspension in the past two days, with no official clarification yet issued regarding the underlying cause.
“Operations have been halted temporarily and the airport will remain closed until further orders,” a senior airport official told Dawn, requesting anonymity.
The suspension is likely to cause significant disruption for hundreds of passengers, many of whom had already faced delays and cancellations earlier in the week.
