Sri Lankan High Commissioner Ravindra Chandra Srivijay Gunaratne met Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and disused issues of mutual interest and the release of Pakistani citizens imprisoned in Sri Lanka.
It was decided to bring the Pakistani prisoners stuck in Sri Lanka back to Pakistan in seven days. Both sides agreed to complete the necessary steps for the repatriation of Pakistani prisoners in Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lankan High Commissioner assured all possible support for the release of Pakistani prisoners. Naqvi said that all measures are being finalized as soon as possible for the return of Pakistani citizens imprisoned in Sri Lanka.
The meeting also discussed anti-narcotics and border security issues in which Mohsen Naqvi said that promoting mutual cooperation in anti-narcotics and border security is the need of the hour.
