The Supreme Court has issued a written verdict in the contempt of court case against Faisal Vawda and Mustafa Kamal, finding both individuals guilty of contempt in retrospect.
On Friday, the court issued contempt of court notices to Senator Faisal Vawda and MNA Mustafa Kamal over their allegedly derogatory speeches against the judiciary. A three-judge bench of the court, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa and including Justice Irfan Saadat and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, took up a suo motu case on Vawda's press conference of May 15, wherein he took a jibe at the judges who alleged interference in judicial matters.

The Supreme Court had adjourned the contempt of court suo motu hearing till June 5.
In its ruling issued on Saturday, the Supreme Court said show-cause notices were issued to both Vawda and Kamal, providing them an opportunity to explain their actions. The notices require the individuals to present their explanations in response to the charges of contempt.
Additionally, the Supreme Court issued a stern warning to television channels, instructing them to cease broadcasting or re-broadcasting any defamatory content. The court stated that channels airing such content would also be held in contempt of court.
The court's order emphasizes the importance of maintaining respect for judicial proceedings and the integrity of the legal process.
