Cold wave grips parts of Pakistan after rain, snowfall

Following rain and snowfall in Punjab, Balochistan and northern areas, the winter cold has gripped most parts of the country, with minimum temperature recorded minus 4 degree centigrade in Kalat and Skardu.

Mainly dry weather is likely to prevail in most parts of the country; however, rain and thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala divisions, Peshawar, Upper FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir in next 24 hours.

Dense foggy conditions are also likely to prevail in some plain areas of Punjab during morning hours. - Samaa
