The white domed tomb of Phyllis Louise Lawrence, the first wife of Sir Henry Staveley Lawrence, Collector of Karachi, faces serious risk of extinction due to construction of illegal settlement. Built in 1912, the tomb located in Gora Qabristan, Karachi is in very dilapidated condition.The Lawrence couple was married in 1899 and had three children before Phyllis was killed in carriage accident in Karachi on 30 June 1912.
