ISLAMABAD: Bahria University Islamabad Campus Tuesday launched its FM radio station aimed at technical, moral and academic training of the students.
Most of the shows of Voice of Bahria University (FM 102.6) will cover the issues and topics of country’s youth, a press release said.
The campus radio is part of Media House being established by Media Studies Department of Bahria University with the vision to train students and give them hands on experience to compete in rapidly growing media industry.
The other entities of Media House include Bahria University TV (BUTV) and an Online Newspaper.
The radio station has two modern studios with live transmission facilities, while six callers at a time could participate in the studio’s transmission.
Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral (Retired) Tanveer Faiz inaugurated the radio station and appreciated the student’s efforts in preparing different shows.
He said radio station will help students to get hands on training and they will be able to secure better job opportunities in the market.
Project Director Media Studies, Waheed Hussain briefed the rector about functioning of the station. – APP
