LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Schools Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan Wednesday said that the government was committed to send every child to school as education was the fundamental right of every child.
He expressed these remarks during his surprise visit to different government schools of Narowal district.
He said, “We are also committed to improve and transform the government schools as ‘Aitchison of the poor’ so that they could excel in life through the faculty of education.
The schools in remote hinterlands and far flung areas would be equipped with all the necessary facilities so that the students could get education in conducive atmosphere, he added.
He inspected Government MB Girls High School and Government Boys Primary School in Narowal district and checked facilities including provision of clean drinking water, security arrangements and general conditions of cleanliness.
Upon hearing the complaint of corporal punishment, the Minister ordered to suspend the teacher of government Boys Primary School Amin colony.
During his meeting with the delegation of teachers, he assured them of upgradation of scales.
The minister observed that the government had been helping in education promotion in a number of ways and the students had been enjoying different facilities in the schools.
This had helped them to excel in life, the Minister said.
