Skype now lets users share phone screen on video calls

April 12, 2019

Microsoft is letting Skype users share their mobile phone screens during video calls.

People can use the feature to share their screens while online shopping with friends or share PowerPoint presentations, The Verge reported.

Only beta users can avail it at the moment. If you want to use it then you will have to register for the Skype Insider programme. You can access it by tapping on the screen and selecting the ‘share screen’ option.

The company announced in a community post that the feature will be available for both iOS and Android users. However, iOS beta users were not able to access it.

It is still not clear when it will be available for mobile Skype. Considering the ‘50 video chat participant feature’ stayed in beta version for less than a month, we can expect the same here.
