Microsoft Excel has introduced the “Insert Data from Picture” tool which will convert your phone pictures into spreadsheets, reported CNET.
The artificial intelligence feature turns the picture of a printed data table into a fully editable spreadsheet with a single click. The app uses an image recognition function which will skip manual entry of data.
Microsoft announced the feature first at the Ignite Conference last September along with other AI features such as “Ideas”, “New Data Types” and “Dynamic Arrays”, according to Forbes. It is currently available on the Android version of Excel and will become available on iOS soon.
“Excel’s power comes from its simplicity,” Microsoft wrote in a blog post.
The new office app was officially announced for Windows 10 users in February, replacing the My Office app.
