Outstanding bowling performance backed by some aggressive batting from opener Hazratullah Zazai helped Peshawar Zalmi in thrashing Karachi Kings in match 24 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021.

In Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, Wahab Riaz won the toss and elected to bowl first.

His decision proved a correct one as Karachi Kings kept losing wickets at regular intervals and only managed to post 108 for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Young Abbas Afridi finished the innings with the top score of 27 off 18 balls with the help of one four and three sixes.

For the winning team, captain Wahab and young spinner Abrar Ahmed claimed three wickets each.

In reply, Peshawar never really looked in any sort of trouble and chased down the target in just 11 overs at the expense of just four wickets.

The star of the show was opening Zazai who finished the match with the top score of 63 off just 26 balls which included eight fours and four sixes.

While doing so, the left-hander also equalled the record of the fastest half-century in the history of PSL off just 17 balls.
