The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the central contracts for its women cricketers for the 2020-21 season.
“Left-arm spinner Anam Amin and middle-order batter Omaima Sohail are the new entries in the significantly improved, enhanced and performance-based PCB women’s central contract list for 2020-21, which will come into effect from 1 July,” a press release by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) read. “Bismah Maroof, Javeria Khan and Diana Baig are the three players to get promotions at the back of their international performances in the just-concluded 2019-20 season.”
Veterans Bismah Maroof and Javeria Khan are placed in Category A while Category B contracts have been awarded to Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig and Sidra Nawaz. Catgeory C consists of Anam Amin, Nahida Khan, Nida Dar and Omaima Sohail.

Nine players — Ayesha Naseem, Fatima Sana, Kainat Hafeez, Muneeba Ali Siddiqui, Najiha Alvi, Rameen Shamim, Saba Nazir, Sadia Iqbal and Syeda Aroob Shah — are in the Emerging category.
The remuneration of Category A players has been increased by 33 percent while the monthly retainers for Category B and C have been hiked by 30 and 25 percent respectively.
The cricket board has also increased the prize money of domestic competitions by 100 percent whereas domestic daily allowance has been increased by 50 percent.
Bismah Maroof has been retained as captain till the end of the 2020-21 season. The PCB has parted ways with the team’s head coach Iqbal Imam, who resumes his duties in the high performance set-up.
