Pakistan’s T20I and ODI skipper Babar Azam has said that it is not fair to compare him with India’s Virat Kohli.
“It’s not right to make such comparisons,” Babar said while interacting with the media via a video conference. “We are different players. I try to win games for my country through my performances.”
Babar, who is the only batsman ranked in the top five across all three formats, said that he is ready to lead the limited-overs sides from the front. “You have to take up the challenges lying ahead of you. You can’t just turn your back to the responsibilities given to you and I am raring to go.”
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) replaced Sarfaraz Ahmed with Babar Azam as the ODI skipper while announcing the central contracts list for 2020-21 season.
