Pakistan U19 team’s tour to Sri Lanka has been indefinitely postponed in the wake of recent terrorist attacks in the island-nation, ESPNcricinfo has reported.
A series of explosions across the country on Easter Sunday left at least 250 people dead.
The Pakistan side was scheduled to leave for Colombo on April 30, with the first game to be played in Galle on May 3.
“The tour has been postponed indefinitely,” an SLC official confirmed to ESPNcricinfo. “It was a decision taken by SLC, as we didn’t want to take any chances.”
Pakistan were to play two four-day games and three one-dayers on the tour, in Galle and Hambantota.
The Boys in Green will now head to South Africa in June-July.
