Pakistan’s 17-man squad that will feature against England is in Bani Gala to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan before they leave for the tour.
Most of the players in the side grew up idolising Imran, World Cup winning captain of 1992 and the patron-in-chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board, and will get a chance to discuss cricket with him before leaving for the series that will be followed by the World Cup.
Imran has recently criticised the PCB and has questioned the domestic structure as well as the selection criteria of the national side and has called for drastic change.
Veteran middle-order batsman Mohammad Hafeez took to Twitter to say how honoured he felt at meeting the legendary all-rounder.
