The International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup trophy has gone on display in Pakistan after arriving in the cricket-mad country on Thursday.
The trophy tour sees it make its way through the country, starting with Islamabad’s Centaurus Mall on April 12. The trophy will then move to the Packages Mall in Lahore on April 13 before continuing its journey south to Karachi, where it will make its final stop on April 14 at the Moin Khan Academy.
Pakistan’s World Cup squad is expected to be announced later this month on April 18, with the mega event being hosted by England from May 30.
The Sarfaraz Ahmed-led side will kick off their campaign on the second day of the tournament against the West Indies.
