English batsman Alex Hales is taking an indefinite break from cricket due to personal reasons, Sky Sports reported.
The Nottingham batsman will not be taking part in the upcoming one-day domestic fixture against Lancashire at Trent Bridge on Friday.
Nottinghamshire cricket club, in its statement, stated that the batsman had made himself unavailable for selection for personal reasons and there was no timetable set for his return to action.
It is unclear whether the power-hitter will miss England’s three-day training camp in Cardiff and whether his selection in the upcoming World Cup is in doubt.
Hales was banned and fined for his involvement in an incident at a Bristol nightclub in September 2017.
