A state-of-the-art control room will monitor spectators entering and leaving the venuePreparations for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019 fixtures at Karachi's National Stadium are in full swing. Curators have prepared five pitches for the eight games that are to be played in the city.The installation of teflon sheets on the roofs of the stands are in the final stages as well.A state-of-the-art command and control room has been set up at the stadium, which will monitor every person entering or exiting the venue.Related: All of PSL4’s Pakistan matches have been shifted to KarachiEighty high-definition and night vision cameras -- 10 rotating and 70 fixed -- have also been installed.Karachi police chief Ameer Sheikh said that a full dress rehearsal took place earlier and they are in contact with all security agencies regarding security at the stadium. Spectators will be checked before entering the stadium for the matches but it won't be a hassle for them, he said.He also said that this year, the arrangements for refreshments will be better.
AIG Sheikh added that the stadium gates will be opened for the public at 2pm and will be closed two hours before the match time. He went on to say that four parking spots have been designated on University Road while one parking spot has been designated on Dalmia Road.Sheikh confirmed that a shuttle service will also take spectators from the parking places to the stadium.The Pakistan leg of the PSL 2019 kicks off in Karachi on March 9 with the Lahore Qalandars taking on defending champions Islamabad United.
