The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 fixtures will not be broadcasted in Pakistan.

A summary has been sent to the federal cabinet regarding the ban on telecasting IPL fixtures.

In the summary, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has been directed to ensure that the matches of the cash-rich Indian T20 tournament are not telecasted in the country.

The summary also states that the decision is taken in response to India’s ban on telecasting Pakistan Super League (PSL) games in the country.

India’s IMG Reliance had withdrawn from its contract to broadcast PSL 2019 fixtures following the attack on an Indian military convoy in the Pulwama district of Indian-Administered Kashmir that claimed the lives of at least 40 soldiers on February 14 this year.

The broadcasting company was also due to televise the last knockout matches to be held in Karachi and Lahore, forcing the Pakistan Cricket Board to make some last-minute changes to their plans.

There is a line between “showing we are better” and “showing dignity”. I am glad we now have a government which has chosen the latter.

Good decision. It should be extended to indian tv channels and their movies as well. We should not support their media to redicule us and our religion in any way and support Pakistani products instead.

It’s the need of hour to show them we’ve dignity and respect being Muslims and above all, a human being.

Not a good decision at all, what are we proving to the world and our own people. Other than cricket we are showing every movie of india in our cenimas and before starting the movie they play national anthem what is the reason behind this, other than that in every home we have been watching their other channels interestingly…. i thing as a nation we dont know how to deal with our neighbour and our own people…we consider all of our neighbours as our enemy, so this is very clear that we have the fault……we need to grow….

Imran Khan had not many options left since India had banned the telecast of’s kinda political decision.. and I agree that India is to blame since they did it first..but then the problem is India or world doesn’t really care about what Pakistan is blocking in air as long as it doesn’t hit them physically or economically.. India did that too but I don’t know why…because all most all of us Indians never watch psl..most of us even don’t know what is by blocking psl modi sarkar didn’t do much harm to us..biut for pakistanese it’s a real heartbreak since there are so many true cricket ilover who loves to watch ipl.. very unfortunate..I can feel and hope things would be sorted out and you can watch your favourite game without any hassle..
