Surrey’s Will Jacks achieved two incredible feats as he scored a century off just 25 balls and smashing six sixes in a single over during a practice game in Dubai against Lancashire, NDTV Sports has reported.
His heroics will not be written in the history books though as the fixture was not an official one. He finished on 105 off 30 deliveries with eight fours and 11 sixes to his name.
Jacks’ innings helped the side amass 176-3 in a T10 clash.

He would have overtaken Chris Gayle as fastest-recorded professional hundred if the fixture was awarded an official status. Gayle had achieved the feat in 30 balls during the 2013 IPL.
“From the first ball I just tried to play my shots. After the first few overs my intention was to try and hit every ball for six, and I think after four sixes I thought, ‘I could hit six sixes here’. I’d never done it before and it was nice to do that and something I will cherish,” Jacks said while speaking with ICC.
Lancashire, chasing a mammoth 177-run target off 10 overs, could only manage 81-9 as spinner Gareth Batty finished with figures of 4-21.
