Pakistan trounce UAE by nine wickets in Emerging Asia Cup fixture

Pakistan defeated the United Arab Emirates by nine wickets in their Emerging Asia Cup 2018 in Karachi on Friday.

The UAE posted a total of 233/9 in their 50 overs with Ashfaq Ahmed and Muhammad Usman scoring half centuries. Ahmed made 69 runs off 89 deliveries with the help of nine fours and a six. Usman contributed 51 runs from 60 balls with four boundaries to his name.

Skipper Rohan Mustafa chipped in with his knock of 25 runs.

Ashiq Ali was the pick of the bowlers for the Men in Green as he finished with figures of 3/34 in 10 overs with a maiden to his name.

The Pakistan side chased down their target of 234 in 39 overs thanks to unbeaten centuries by Hussain Talat and Sahibzada Farhan.

Talat played a knock of 116 runs from 109 balls with 14 fours and two sixes to his name. Farhan made 104 runs off 120 deliveries with 10 boundaries with the help of 10 boundaries.

Bangladesh defeated Hong Kong by 28 runs whereas India trounced Afghanistan by 74 runs in the other two fixtures.
