Deandra Dottin made 46 runs and took two wickets

Hosts West Indies defeated England by four wickets in their Women’s World Twenty20 fixture in Gros Islet on Monday.

England, batting first, were restricted to 115/8 in their 20 overs. Sophia Dunkley struck 35 runs for the team with three boundaries and a six to her name.

Anya Shrubsole contributed 29 runs with the bat while Tammy Beaumont made 23 runs.

Shakera Selman and Deandra Dottin picked up two wickets each for the Windies.

The defending champions chased down the target of 116 runs in 19.3 overs with four wickets in hand. Dottin was the top scorer with 46 runs.

Shemaine Campbelle made 45 runs with the bat.

Anya Shrubsole grabbed three wickets for the former T20 champions.

Deandra Dottin was named the Player of the Match for her all round performance in the fixture.
