He recently became a father
All-rounder Shoaib Malik has pulled out of the T10 league to spend time with his family.
He shared via a tweet that he will not be playing for the Punjabi Legends in the second season of the league. The star cricketer wants to spend time with his family although his wife Sania Mirza wanted him to play.
I announce with mixed feelings that I will be not be part of @PunjabiLegends_ #T10League to spend time with my family. This was a tough decision (sp since my wife thinks I should play) but I want to be with my wife and son more than anything else. Hope you all will understand 🤗

The couple was blessed with a baby boy, Izhaan Mirza-Malik, on October 30. Malik and Mirza got married in 2010. Malik was with his wife for a brief period after she gave birth and then went to the UAE to play in an international series.
Malik led the side in the first season and Punjabi Legends were the runners-up of the tournament in 2017. He has a strike rate of 217.4 in five matches of the shortest format.
Other Pakistani cricketers including Umar Akmal, Hassan Khan, Anwar Ali and Muhammad Sami will be seen in action for Punjabi Legends.
T10 League is a professional 10-over cricket which is scheduled to be held from November 21 to December 2 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Eight teams will participate in the 12-day tournament which will feature 28 matches.
