Saudi team wins Tekken competition in Taiwan

Saudi Arabia came second in terms of performance as well

Saudi Arabia emerged victorious in the Tekken 7 contest at the 10th edition of the IESF eSports World Championship in Taiwan, the Saudi Gazette has reported.

The Saudi side emerged victorious after triumphing over Japan 5-4 in the final.

Saudi Arabia competed in Tekken 7 and League of Legends. The side came second in terms of performance as it competed against 38 international teams.

Over 700 players from 48 countries took part in one of the leading gaming competitions.

The winning team was patronised by the Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports (SAFEIS) and the General Sports Authority (GSA).

ESports has been gaining a lot of attention across the world with countries hosting tournaments and competitions with cash prizes.
