The National Stadium in Karachi is all set for a new look as it is getting a revamp.

Many enclosures of the historic stadium, including the media and official boxes, have been deconstructed for redesign. New roofs are being constructed to cover each enclosure.

Pakistan’s likely prime minister, Imran Khan, has been elected from the NA-243 constituency, where the stadium is located.

A budget of Rs1 billion has been allocated for the revamp.

Karachi recently hosted the final of Pakistan Super League 2018 between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi. A three-match Twenty20 International series was also held at the National Stadium.
