Pakistan pick Imam-ul-Haq for England, Ireland series

LAHORE: Pakistan have selected former cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq’s nephew Imam-ul-Haq for the upcoming tours of England and Ireland scheduled to take place this summer.  

Pakistan announced the 16-member squad for the upcoming tour of England and Ireland on Sunday.

“The National Selection Committee headed by Inzamam ul Haq after consultation with Captain Sarfraz Ahmed and Head Coach Mickey Arthur has announced the 16-member Test squad,” PCB stated.

Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Saad Ali and Usman Salahuddin have been included in a test squad for the first time.

Fawad Alam was left out from the squad yet again despite finishing at third place in the fitness test.

Wahab Riaz was not picked by the selectors while Yasir Shah has been ruled out from the test matches due to an injury.

The 16-member squad is as follows:

  3. Sami Aslam
  4. Imam ul Haq
  5. Baber Azam
  6. Asad Shafiq
  7. Haris Sohail
  8. Usman Salahuddin
  9. Saad Ali
  10. Sarfraz Ahmed (Captain)
  11. Shadad Khan
  12. Faheem Ashraf
  13. Mohammad Amir
  14. Hasan Ali
  15. Rahat Ali
  16. Mohammad Abbas

Pakistan will play two Tests against England and a one-off Test against Ireland this summer.

    thats really not fair they did not select the deserve candidate because he is niece of inzimam ul haq thats why he is selected so thats not fair although he did not play well but because of his uncle he is selected our main institute did not select according to merit why corruption is everywhere
