DUBAI: Pakistani fast bowler Wahab Riaz spoke about the hostile bowling against Australia’s Shane Watson in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, Samaa reported.

In an interview to ICC 360, Riaz recalled the exchange of words between him and Australian players Shane Watson and Mitchell Starc when he was batting in the quarter final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

The pacer, however, did not take it well.

“There was 213 on the scoreboard and only thing was that there was nothing to lose. So we can do something extraordinary to pull back this game,” he said.

Riaz said, “I came to bowl and got two early wickets and Shane Watson came in, so I had that argument in my mind and then it just ticked me off and then I started to, I don’t know what I was doing at that moment to be honest, but I wanted was to get him out of the ground and get that wicket and bring the new batsman in and put pressure on him.”

The pacer said that he took advantage of the situation because he held the ball with him during the time.
