DUBAI: Kamran Akmal smashed the first century of the second edition of Pakistan Super League as Peshawar Zalmi beats Karachi Kings by 24 runs to win the third play-off at Dubai Cricket Stadium in UAE. Kamran Akmal was declared man of the match. Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi will play the PSL final on 5th March in Lahore.

While chasing, Karachi Kings collapsed earlier on. Babar Azam made one and got out in the second over. Captain Sangakara failed to contribute much and got out on the score of 15. Gayle tried to lift the score and made 40 runs. He hit 4 sixes as well. Shoaib Malik 0 and Ravi Bopara 6 runs were pure failure of Karachi batting line up.

Pollard and Imad, however, tried to made good progress but Pollard went out on 47 while Imad scored 24 runs.

From Zalmi, Chris Jordan took 3 wickets while Wahad Riaz also grabbed 3 wicket. Mohammad Hafeez got one wicket.

Put into the bat first by Karachi Kings, Kamran Akmal and Dawid Malan set up a 97-run partnership with the Pakistani keeper doing most of the damage. Akmal struck seven 6s and six 4s in his 60-ball 100 and was well supported by Malan, who chipped in with 36 runs.

Marlon Samuels also made 21-ball 36 to finish the innings on 181/3 in 20 overs.

Earlier, Karachi Kings skipper Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and elected to bowl first

Sangakkara said the pitch looks a good one."We are playing the same team. Hoping to build on the last win," he said.

Zalmi captain Darren Sammy said his side has picked up some momentum.

"We should put some runs on the board and build some scoreboard pressure," he said.

Haris Sohail is out and Kushdil Shah is in Peshawar Zalmi.

    Yeah. Thats what I was hoping for. Peshawar Qualified for final for first time. But I really hope if Quetta Gladiators win Final. They really deserve it
