LAHORE: A fresh players’ draft will be conducted by the Pakistan Super League organizers on February 22.
The board will figure out which overseas players were willing to travel to Lahore for the PSL final on March 5. Last Monday’s blast in Lahore has created security concerns among foreign players.
The Pakistan Cricket Board have been adamant about hosting the PSL 2017 final at home but their efforts were badly hit by the suicide attack that killed 14 people and left over a hundred injured.
The PSL authorities had briefed foreign recruits about improved security arrangements in Lahore before the league started on February 9 and some of the players were willing to take the risk of traveling to Lahore at the time.
But the incident has led to a changed scenario. – Samaa
