Indian tennis superstar Sania Mirza was involved in a Twitter war with cricketer-turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar.

It started when Sania posted a tweet on Tuesday about her achievement of completing 80 consecutive weeks as world’s number one player.

Manjrekar congratulated Sania on her achievement but pointed out that she achieved the feat only in doubles tennis and not in the more prestigious world of singles tennis.

Sania apparently didn’t like Manjrekar’s comment and hit back by tweeting that the world knew she was a doubles player and that she had quit singles due to injuries many years ago.

Their spat though ended on a happy note when Sania posted another tweet giving all the details about her achievement.

Sania is no stranger to Twitter controversies. Last month her tweet on Indian tennis in which she apparently attacked Leander Paes without taking his name made headlines in India.
