NEW DELHI: Zaheer Abbas, International Cricket Council (ICC) President, Monday condemned hardline Hindu nationalists attack on BCCI headquarters in Mumbai ahead of Indo-Pak cricket series talks.
Exclusively talking to Samaa, Abbas said politics should never be mixed with sports.
He asked the Indian cricket board to take the issue seriously as the cricket lovers in both the countries are waiting for the series.
Abbas said ICC wanted the Indo-Pak series to go ahead.
Earlier, Shiv Sena workers barged into the BCCI office chanting slogans against PCB chief Shaharyar Khan and said they would not allow any cricketing ties with Pakistan.
The BCCI rescheduled talks with PCB officials for Tuesday after the attack.
The meeting between PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan and the BCCI Chairman Shashank Manohar would now take place in New Delhi.
