LOS ANGELES: With their brilliant performance, Pakistani athletes won two medals in the freestyle swimming in the Special Olympics World Games 2015 on Wednesday, Samaa reported.

Pakistani athlete Asim Zar picked up gold medal in the 100-meter freestyle swimming while a female contestant Aqsa Ahmed got silver medal in the 50-meter freestyle swimming.

The Special Olympics World Games 2015 is going on in the Los Angeles, US.

Pakistani special players are taking part in nine sports categories, including athletics, swimming, football, basketball, tennis, table tennis, power lifting and cycling.

Mahfooz Ilahi is the head of delegation and Asma Hasan is deputy head. As many as 7000 athletes from 177 countries are joining the mega event. – Samaa
