India thrash Pakistan to lift World Kabaddi Cup title

Staff ReportLUDHIANA: India beat Pakistan to win the Kabaddi World Cup in Indian city of Ludhiana on Saturday. It was India’s third Kabaddi title in a row. In the final battle, India overpowered Pakistan by 59-22 in what turned out to be a one-sided contest. Pakistan remained under pressure throughout the match and did not appear to challenge the hosts, who were sharp in the field. In the first half, India led the points table by 33-9. Pakistan tried to stage a comeback in the second half, but failed in the end. SAMAA
