BISHKEK: Due to deadly ethnic violence which has hit southern Kyrgyzstan’s city of Osh, thousands of people flee and had taken refuge in Uzbekistan whereas Uzbek government had closed the borders with Kyrgyzstan, SAMAA reported here today (Tuesday).

In accordance with the ethnic riots in the Osh, some 80,000 people had flee to Uzbekistan and another around 10,00,000 are still awaiting for their entrance to Uzbek borders.

According to American news agency, hundreds of Uzbek refugees have stuck up near Jallalabad and due to shortage of food, their condition is miserable. On the other hand Uzbekistan government had closed the borders with Kyrgyzstan. “We have no more accommodation facility for further refugees’’, says Vice Prime Minister of Uzbekistan. SAMAA
